There is a full card of 8 events at the Morphettville Races this weekend, kicking off at 11:30am.
There’s a fair risk of rain this weekend, so keep that in mind when you’re making your punting decisions. The majority of the rain should drop around midday, and with any luck there won’t be a massive amount of it. Judge for yourself on the day, but from race 3 onwards I’d be careful of putting too much faith in horses that can only handle a dry track. As the day goes on and the chop gets worse, horses that prefer a heavy track will step up to the plate and enjoy their runs a bit more. Watch for the swoopers rather than the horses that like to sneak through the pack or hug the rails. The inside will be looking pretty messy if the weather follows the predictions.
David Hayes, Darren Weir, Tony McEvoy, Peter Moody and Mick Price all have a few horses in the fields at the Morphettville Races, so keep an eye on those to get a good grasp on early form.
While none of the events tomorrow are Listed or Group events, there are still some very nice horses running at the tracks. These kinds of weekends offer a world of opportunity for a discerning punter. Grab a copy of the form guide and head on down to the tracks for a punt. Or better yet, sign up with an online bookmaker such as Ladbrokes.com.au and punt from home.
